Manchester's most in-demand Eyeliner Tattoo Artist

Permanent Eyeliner options

An eyeliner tattoo is a permanent makeup treatment that replaces the need to apply eyeliner every day. It is also known as permanent eyeliner, and is one of my most requested procedures.

An eyeliner tattoo describes the process of implanting pigment across the lash line into the dermal layer of the skin using a machine. This then creates the appearance of eyeliner.

There are a variety of styles such as a thin, natural line amongst your lash line known as an eyelash enhancement, a bolder thicker line to give your eyes a more noticeable eyeliner look, or you can get winged liner. I always ask my clients to bring a photo of what you are wanting so we know what look to achieve, however your look will be personally customised to work best with your own unique features.

Eyeliner without makeup

A professionally performed eyeliner tattoo releases my clients from their daily makeup routine. This is a huge time-saver and provides greater freedom when you do not have to plan your schedule around your makeup.

Those with sensitive skin or allergies to makeup can really benefit from permanent eyeliner. Reactions to my pigments are extremely rare as they are manufactured using 100% natural components. If you have a busy or active lifestyle, an eyeliner tattoo is perfect as it will not smudge when you sweat.

Like other forms of permanent makeup, the colour in the pigment will fade gradually and top ups are required every 3 to 5 years.

Frequently asked questions

Eyeliner tattooing is a form of permanent makeup that involves depositing pigment along the lash line to enhance the appearance of the eyes. Unlike traditional eyeliner, which requires daily application and removal, eyeliner tattoos, sometimes referred to as permanent eyeliner, offer long-lasting definition and can save time in your daily beauty routine.

Eyeliner tattoos typically last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch-up sessions may be required to maintain the desired intensity and shape.

While discomfort levels vary from person to person, most clients report only mild discomfort during the procedure. For many, the thought of getting permanent eyeliner is worse than the actual experience and clients commonly report that the discomfort was nothing like they thought it would be.

Immediately after the procedure, the eyeliner may appear darker and more intense than expected, but this will fade over the following weeks. Some redness, bruising and swelling may occur initially, but it typically subsides within a few days. Following proper aftercare instructions is crucial for optimal healing.

Although rare, potential risks of eyeliner tattoos include allergic reactions, infections, and scarring. Choosing a qualified and experienced technician who follows strict hygiene protocols can help minimise these risks.

Eyeliner tattooing is suitable for individuals looking to enhance the appearance of their eyes, define their lash line, or achieve a smudge-proof eyeliner look. However, it may not be recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with certain eye conditions, or those prone to keloid scarring.

Our clients request a wide range of eyeliner styles, from subtle eyelash enhancements to more dramatic winged eyeliner styles. As long as you understand this is a permanent change and are comfortable with your decision, we always aim to accomodate your requests.

Although many colours are available, black is the default choice for the vast majority of our clients.

Researching and selecting a skilled and certified permanent makeup artist experienced in eyeliner tattooing is crucial for achieving satisfactory results. Reviewing portfolios, reading client testimonials, and scheduling consultations can help you find the right artist for your needs.

Yes, once your eyeliner tattoo has healed, you can continue to wear eyeliner if desired although you probably won’t feel the need to do so.

Following proper aftercare instructions and scheduling periodic touch-up sessions as recommended by your technician are essential for maintaining the longevity and appearance of your eyeliner tattoos.

Top-up sessions are typically scheduled 8 to 12 weeks after the initial procedure to address any areas where pigment may have faded unevenly and make any necessary adjustments to achieve the desired intensity and shape. These sessions help prolong the longevity of your eyeliner tattoo.
