What is Microblading?
Firstly, microblading is a eyebrow tattoo. Any method or treatment that involves implanting ink into the skin, regardless of the tool used, is a tattoo. The prefix “micro” refers specifically to the intricacy of the technique. It is a fine, detailed art form that requires precision; hence “micro”. That said, the alternative term for permanent makeup is “micropigmentation”. The prefix still applies since the work is done on a much smaller scale with imperative exactitude.
The original form of tattooing, started centuries ago, was done with a hand tool. When microblading became popular, it was like everything old was new again. Microblading is an oft-misunderstood treatment that requires some clarification. It is not uncommon for many clients to think microblading is not a tattoo or that it is only semi-permanent.
Here at Looks by Liyah, We have been perfecting our Microblading technique out of our Manchester studio for years. If you have any questions about Microblading or any other of our eyebrow tattoo services, please feel free to get in touch!

Microbladed eyebrows procedure and aftercare?
The ratio of hair strokes can be adapted to each individual client depending on their skin type. The first session takes around 2 hours. 6weeks later we offer a touch-up service. Touch-ups are done to maintain the crispness and freshness of the color as the pigment is mixed to ensure it matches with your natural brow colour.
In the few hours after your treatment, your brow area may feel a little sore, as if you have mild sunburn. This will quickly disappear.
Microblading offers the longest-lasting results for clients and works perfectly together in harmony to achieve a beautiful, natural, yet defined brow.

Need to know a litte more about the best Microblading in Manchester?...
Microblading lends itself perfectly to this pursuit since it is intended to authentically replicate an actual eyebrow. Of late, newer techniques have been developed which enable the artist to reproduce a youthful, untouched eyebrow such as those which were made popular by the likes of Brook Shields many years ago and are back again thanks to models and actresses who prefer a natural shape and pattern over the more traditional sophisticated and exact look. Cara Delevingne may come to mind.
The beauty of microblading is that it can effect a perfectly shaped eyebrow which is refined and elegant, as well as an imperfect whimsical eyebrow that is the symbol of all-natural innocence and purity.
Microblading is exclusively an eyebrow technique. This cannot be overemphasized. There have been some experiments with microblading on the scalp and even the beard area to replicate hair that has been lost, with disastrous results. The treatment simply does not heal as it should, nor does it look natural. Worse is that, because of the unique nature of the scalp and facial skin, it tends not to gently fade away as it ought to. Just a few reasons, among many others to ensure careful research and gain the trust of a deeply knowledgeable artist.
Due to significant advancements in the design and manufacture of permanent makeup and tattoo devices, with several of the best-known tattoo companies paying due attention to the needs of permanent makeup artists in equipment design, many artists now use a machine to etch individual brow hairs. The technique is highly advanced and intensive work; however, the treatment will last longer since the machine enables the pigment to be placed into the skin in a dispersed way, without a blade. Because of the diffused effect, more clients are candidates.
Nothing complements the face more than brows that frame the eyes and complement one’s features. Permanent makeup artists are not at all unaccustomed to microblading eyebrows for men, who are not any less susceptible to sparse brows than women are. For men, artists ensure that the look is befitting of a gentlemen’s brow. When some brow hair already exists, microbladed eyebrow hairstrokes nestle very naturally within existing hair meaning no one need even know why you look so fresh and dashing.
Illusion is the biggest attraction to permanent makeup. Of course, some clients want their permanent makeup to look just like the makeup they have applied for many years. That said, just as many, likely more lately, want their look to be natural. They want enhancement, restoration, dimension, and a fresh, subtle, yet sensational look.
The clients choose the look, the artist implements the most appropriate methodology. All artists work within responsible limits, always mindful of future trends and the desire to change up one’s look in time. One of the best ways to select an artist is to view their healed work and to listen to them speak. Top quality artists know their craft, they know the skin, they have experienced and resolved hundreds of potential issues and they know how to customize every treatment for every client to ensure complete satisfaction.
The resulting look is just the same. Breathtakingly perfect hairstroke brows, or the simplistic untouched look. It is only the tool that is different.
