Manchester's most in-demand Microblading Artist

What is Microblading?

A form of permanent makeup, microblading is the term given to a permanent eyebrow procedure when applied using a hand tool rather than a machine. Microblading is used when my client wants a super natural hairstroke brow, rather than a “makeup” look like my ombre powder brows service.

Microblading is very popular, in fact it’s my most requested service. However, not all ladies are good candidates for microblading. If you have mature or oily skin, or have had permanent makeup previously, a combination brow or ombre brow may be a better choice. Send me a message on WhatsApp if you’re not sure.

I have perfected my microblading technique for several years now, and I have hundreds of happy clients from across Manchester and beyond. Rest assured, you’re in the best hands.

MIcroblading: Before & after

Frequently asked questions

Microblading is a permanent cosmetic tattooing technique used to enhance the appearance of eyebrows. Unlike traditional tattooing, microblading uses a manual hand tool with fine needles to create hair-like strokes for an ultra-natural look.

Microblading typically lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch-up sessions may be required annually to maintain the desired look.

While discomfort levels vary from person to person, most clients report only mild discomfort during the procedure.

Immediately after the procedure, the eyebrows may appear darker and bolder than expected, but this will fade over the following weeks. It’s normal to experience some redness and mild swelling in the treated area, which usually subsides within a few days. Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided to promote proper healing.

Like any cosmetic procedure, there are potential risks, including allergic reactions, infections, and scarring. However, these risks are minimal when performed by a qualified and experienced technician using sterile equipment and proper techniques.

Microblading is suitable for most individuals looking to enhance the appearance of their eyebrows, including those with sparse or over-plucked brows, uneven brows, or those seeking a more defined shape. However, it may not be recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with certain skin conditions, oily skin or those prone to keloid scarring.

It’s essential to research and choose a skilled and certified microblading artist with a portfolio of previous work that aligns with your desired outcome.

Reading reviews and scheduling consultations to discuss expectations and ask any questions can help ensure you select the right artist for you.

We are passionate about standards, and through our microblading training courses, we are teaching the next generation of microblading artists to be and do better.

While you may need to avoid applying makeup directly to the treated area during the initial healing period, once the eyebrows have fully healed, you can resume wearing makeup as usual. However, keep in mind that sun exposure, certain skincare products, and chemical treatments may affect the longevity of your microblading results.

To prolong the results of microblading, it’s essential to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your technician carefully. This may include avoiding prolonged sun exposure, using SPF sunscreen, and scheduling periodic touch-up sessions as needed.

Touch-up sessions are typically scheduled 4 to 6 weeks after the initial procedure to refine and perfect the results. During this session, any areas where pigment may have faded unevenly will be addressed, and adjustments can be made to achieve the desired shape and colour.

Hello, Liyah here! Owner and lead artist at Looks by Liyah.

As Manchester’s premier expert in all things eyebrows, I’ve noticed one question that keeps coming up: “What is microblading?”

Let’s dive into the captivating world of microblading and unveil the secret behind those perfectly sculpted brows you’ve been spotting around Manchester.

What is microblading, anyway?

Microblading is a permanent eyebrow tattooing technique that uses tiny, fine-point needles to deposit pigment into the skin.

Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblading artists apply each hairstroke with a handheld microblade. This results in incredibly natural, fuller-looking eyebrows that beautifully frame your face.
